Hello! My name is Prue Rainey, and I have enjoyed a successful career in the fashion industry for over 20 years. My longest tenure was as the Head of Design at CUE, where I led the brand through its greatest growth period, expanding from 80 stores to over 200 and becoming the top-selling brand at Myer. A career highlight was showcasing our work in CUE's first stand-alone show at AAFW Fashion Week 2023.

Throughout my career, I noticed that many hopeful designers struggled to translate their ideas onto paper. To address this, I developed Illy Strate, a movable fashion figure that can be posed and traced, providing a perfectly proportioned silhouette to design onto. Illy Strate bridges the gap between imagination and illustration, making it easier for creatives to bring their visions to life.

Recognized for its innovation, Illy Strate has been featured in exhibitions at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) and has won a Good Design Award.

Our goal is to foster creativity and skill development among young designers, helping them realize their potential and contribute to the vibrant world of fashion.
